Prescription Drugs

- Coverage is available for individuals aged 65 and up. Eligibility is determined by age and income.
- Children up to 14 receive coverage under the Children’s Drug Plan.
- Coverage is available to those receiving Family Health Benefits and seniors on the Saskatchewan Income Plan and Guaranteed Income Supplement Program. There is a semi-annual deductible and co-payment percentage to pay.

Dental Care

- No coverage for routine dental visits
- There is limited coverage for specific surgical and periodontal procedures.

Vision Care

- Individuals under 18 years receive coverage for one examination every 12 months.
- Individuals over 18 receive coverage for one examination every 24 months.

Hospital Care

- Coverage for basic ward accommodations is available.

Health Specialists

- Partial coverage for chiropractic and podiatrist services.
- Coverage for physiotherapy or occupational therapy services for those seeking treatment in hospital settings.

Homecare and Nursing

- Coverage and availability of services vary in each health district.

Ambulatory Services

- Limited coverage is available for ground transportation.
- Individuals under 65 years receive 100% coverage for air ambulance for inter-facility transfers after a $350 deductible.
- Individuals over 65 receive 100% coverage for air ambulance for inter-facility transfers after a $250 deductible.

Hearing Aids

- No coverage available.

Medical Equipment and Supplies

- Some coverage for residents living with a physical handicap or certain chronic conditions who require medical supplies such as oxygen, prosthetics, and ostomy.
- Partial coverage available from the Children’s Insulin Pump Program for residents under the age of 18.
